Privacy

What we know about you.

Short answer: almost nothing. Hradostop has no analytics, does not track you through third parties, and stores no personal data beyond what you write yourself.

What we store

  • Account: name and email at registration. Password only as a hash. Just enough to log in and recover access.
  • Your markers: which monuments you marked as visited or want-to-visit, and when. Your diary, just for you.
  • Last location: GPS coordinates you used when clicking "use my location". Stored only if you click that button. Kept in the DB just so you do not have to re-enter them.
  • Cookies: session cookie for login and CSRF protection. No tracking.

What we do not do

  • no Google Analytics, Facebook pixel, or any other tracking
  • no selling data
  • no newsletter
  • no ads

Third parties

Monument images are served directly from Wikimedia Commons. When you view a monument page your browser connects to their CDN — meaning Wikimedia also sees your IP.

The map uses tiles from OpenStreetMap. Opening the map shows your IP to them too.

Account deletion

In your profile there is a "Delete account" button — everything is gone immediately including visits and wishlist. No soft-delete.

Monument data

The monument database comes from OpenStreetMap (ODbL license), photos and descriptions from Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia (CC-BY-SA). If something in the data is off, the best fix is directly in OpenStreetMap.
