Hradostop is a simple digital diary of visited monuments across Central Europe (SK, CZ, PL). No social network, no ads, no tracking.
Open the app, click "use my location" and see the nearest castles, palaces and manors sorted by distance. Mark each one as visited or want to visit. Your collection grows as you explore.
The database holds over 3207 monuments imported from OpenStreetMap. Photos come from Wikimedia Commons (Wikipedia and Wikidata). Descriptions are taken from the first sentences of Wikipedia articles.
Why it exists
I travel around Central Europe a lot, but after a few years I realize I do not remember where I have been. An app that just kept a simple list did not exist — and those that did were either bloated with social feeds or paid.
So I built this strict minimum: one click = one entry. No ratings, no comments, no photos to upload. Just where you have been and where you want to go.
Open data
All monuments come from OpenStreetMap (ODbL license). Photos and descriptions from Wikimedia Commons and About (CC-BY-SA).
Found an error (wrong name, unrelated description, bad location)? The best fix is directly in OpenStreetMap. Our catalog re-imports occasionally and the correction syncs automatically. Or let us know.
